I have not thought of how fortunate I am being born and raised in my own country (Philippines). I cannot imagine the &quot;disconnect&quot; that would happen if ever I were born in another country. It&#039;s just somehow - it&#039;s not just a matter of genes, like race or ethnicity, but to &quot;fill in the gaps&quot; you really need to know more than the people of your ethnicity but their habitat and most of all, their culture.

Kudos to you because you did not fail in the first steps to finding the Filipino heritage.</description>
